In short: Our website stores one strictly necessary item in your browser: your cookie choice. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity run only if you click “Accept all”. Until you choose, and if you click “Reject all”, no analytics or other optional cookies are set. We do not use advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page.
1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how HeyAtlas.ai LLC (“Sail Atlas”, “we”, “us”), a company established in New Jersey, United States, uses cookies and similar technologies on our website sailatlas.app in all its languages. It completes our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal data more generally.
This policy does not cover the Atlas Dashboard (dashboard.sailatlas.app), Crew List (crewlist.sailatlas.app), the booking websites of charter companies or the Atlas apps. These are covered by their own notices, for example the Crew App Privacy Notice and the Customer App Privacy Notice.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser and reads again on later visits. Similar technologies include browser storage such as localStorage, which a website uses to save information on your device, and scripts that read information from your device.
- First-party cookies are set on our own domain (sailatlas.app), including by scripts of our providers that run on our pages.
- Third-party cookies are set on another company’s domain, for example clarity.ms or calendly.com.
- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies stay for the period shown in the table below, or until you delete them.
3. Categories we use
| Category | What it does | Your consent |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Remembers your cookie choice so the banner does not appear on every page. There is no sign-in on our website. | Not required; always on |
| Analytics and performance | Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity help us understand how visitors use the website: which pages are visited, how long, where visitors come from, and, with Clarity, clicks, scrolling and mouse movements in session recordings and heatmaps. We use this to improve the website. | Required; off until you click “Accept all” |
| Third-party scheduler (Calendly) | The demo scheduler on our contact page is provided by Calendly, which sets its own cookies. | Loads only after “Accept all” or when you click “Show the calendar” (section 6) |
We do not use advertising, targeting or social media tracking cookies, and we do not allow Google or Microsoft to use our website data for personalised advertising through our settings.
4. Cookies and storage items we use

Providers may change the names and durations of their cookies when they update their products. We review this table regularly.
The contact form does not set cookies. When you send it, the content of the form is delivered to us through our provider Formspree.
5. How consent works
- On your first visit, a cookie banner asks for your choice. “Accept all” and “Reject all” are shown side by side with equal weight.
- Nothing optional loads before you choose. Until you click “Accept all”, the Google Analytics script is not downloaded, Clarity is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. If you click “Reject all”, or do not choose, this stays the case.
- Our Google tag uses Google Consent Mode v2 with every signal set to “denied” by default (analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation). When you accept, only analytics storage is switched to “granted”; the advertising signals stay denied.
- Your choice is stored in your browser under
sailAtlasCookieConsent, so we do not ask again on every page. If you clear your browser storage or use another browser or device, we will ask again.
6. The Calendly scheduler on our contact page
The demo scheduler on our contact page is embedded from Calendly. Calendly sets its own cookies and receives technical data from your browser (such as your IP address) as soon as the scheduler loads. For this reason the scheduler does not load automatically: it loads only if you have clicked “Accept all”, or when you click “Show the calendar” on the contact page. If you prefer not to use Calendly, you can write to us through the contact form or at info@sailatlas.app instead. Calendly’s use of cookies and data is described in Calendly’s privacy notice.
7. How to change or withdraw your choice
- On our website: click “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of any page to open the banner again. If you click “Reject all” after accepting earlier, we delete the Google Analytics and Clarity cookies set on our domain (such as
_gaand_clck) and reload the page so that the analytics stop immediately. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it. - Third-party cookies: cookies set on another company’s domain (for example Microsoft’s cookies on clarity.ms or Calendly’s cookies) cannot be deleted by us. You can delete them in your browser settings.
- In your browser: most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies and site data, for example in the privacy or security settings of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. If you block all cookies and storage, we cannot remember your choice and the banner will appear again.
- Google Analytics opt-out: Google offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics on all websites.
8. Legal basis
- EEA and United Kingdom: we store and read optional cookies on your device only with your consent, as required by the ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3)) as implemented in your country, and by the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. The related processing of personal data is based on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Strictly necessary storage does not require consent; the related processing is based on our legitimate interest in running the website and remembering your choice (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Türkiye: in line with the Personal Data Protection Authority’s Guide on Cookie Applications (Çerez Uygulamaları Hakkında Rehber, 2022), analytics cookies are used only with your explicit consent (KVKK Art. 5(1)), which you give by clicking “Accept all”. Strictly necessary storage is based on our legitimate interests (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)). Refusing analytics cookies does not limit your use of the website.
9. International transfers
Google and Microsoft process analytics data in the United States, and Calendly is also a U.S. company. For visitors in the EEA and the United Kingdom, these transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK Extension) for certified providers or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. For visitors in Türkiye, we rely on the safeguards in Article 9 of the KVKK, in particular the standard contracts published by the Personal Data Protection Board. Details are in section 8 of our Privacy Policy.
10. More information and contact
How long analytics data is kept, who receives it and your rights (including your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK) are explained in our Privacy Policy. For questions or requests, write to info@sailatlas.app or to HeyAtlas.ai LLC, 2037 Lemoine Ave, Suite 330, Fort Lee, NJ 07024, United States.
11. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when we add, remove or change cookies on our website, or when the law changes. The current version and its effective date are always shown at the top of this page. If we add a new category of optional cookies, we will ask for your consent again.
